Wacker Neuson is on the move!
Wacker Neuson is proud to announce that its Johannesburg head office will soon be operating from a brand new facility whilst the branches in Cape Town and Durban, along with their dealers, are moving under one roof.
This move stems from the company’s pleasing growth over the past fiscal year despite a volatile market and sluggish economic climate, coupled with an optimistic vision for the future and a continued commitment to invest in South Africa. Managing Director of Wacker Neuson Sub-Saharan Africa, Dennis Vietze, attributes this success to an aggressive dealer strategy that has been rolling out over the past two years as well as to loyal and dedicated staff.
“It is our mandate to maintain our position as an industry leader, grow faster than the market and, through our core products, become one of the top equipment suppliers,” states Vietze. In line with this growth mind-set, Wacker Neuson has made a substantial investment in new premises for its head office as well as for its branches in the Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal, in cooperation with the dealers in these respective territories.
“The centralised location of our new head office in Johannesburg near the airport region positions us close to the market and our competitors, but most importantly, to our customers,” affirms Vietze. He adds that this new facility which comprises an office building, workshop and warehouse will not only enhance Wacker Neuson’s visibility but will also ensure easier accessibility for customers and suppliers.
Discussing the advantages of the Cape Town and Durban branches sharing premises with the dealers, Vietze says that it is a win-win situation for all stakeholders. End users will now benefit from quick access to the Wacker Neuson brand, timeous after sales service and quick turn-around times on delivery with subsequent reduced transportation costs. In addition to increased business opportunities with the Wacker Neuson range, dealers become part of the Wacker Neuson family, fully authorised and qualified in the selling and servicing of this renowned world-class brand of equipment.
Wacker Neuson has partnered with thirteen suitable dealers in South and Sub-Saharan Africa to meet the customer needs and provide professional sales and service across the board. The company is expanding its footprint in the market through a newly adopted hybrid sales model. Professional dealers will be established as sales and service partners in regions such as Mpumalanga, Gauteng and North-West that are currently being serviced directly by Wacker Neuson Pty Ltd. As this dealer expansion strategy continues to roll out, end user business will be handed over to Wacker Neuson’s dedicated dealers whilst the plant hire industry and certain key-account customers will be directly served by all South African Wacker Neuson branches. Sharing future growth plans in Sub-Saharan Africa countries, Vietze reveals that the company is looking at dealer partnerships in Ethiopia, Kenya, and Tanzania, as well as in Mauritius.
Wacker Neuson serves a vast range of sectors such as construction, railway infrastructure, agriculture, mining, landscaping, public services, forestry and quarries with its product portfolio of Concrete Technology, Compaction, Demolition, Power, Lighting, Pumps, Excavators, Wheel Loaders, Skid Steer Loaders, Telehandlers and Backhoe Loaders.
