Chicago Pneumatic heads north on the next leg of its generator give-way journey

The month of June saw Chicago Pneumatic heading north to hand out a CPPG portable generator at each of the three Mining and Technical Exhibitions (MTEs) hosted by South Africa’s Northern Cape Province. Chicago Pneumatic invited its dealer, Turner Morris, to the Northern Cape MTEs which took place in Hotazel, Kathu and Lime Acres on 12, 14 and 15 June 2018 respectively. Christa van Wyngaardt from Turner Morris joined Eben van der Vyver, Business Development Manager for Chicago Pneumatic Construction Equipment in South Africa, to congratulate and hand over the portable generators to the respective winners - Marko Kamwendo of South 32 Wessels Mine (Hotazel MTE), HandrĂ© Cornelissen of Kumba Iron (Kathu MTE) and Japie Botma of PPC Lime Acres (Lime Acres MTE). According to Van der Vyver, all three MTEs were highly successful. ”There was a frequent flow of visitors and the Chicago Pneumatic brand was very well received at all three events. The first MTE in Hotazel generated some promising enquiries but the biggest number of enquiries came from our next stop in Kathu. Fortunately the extremely cold and windy weather did not deter visitors from making their way to the last MTE in Lime Acres on 15 June.” Kicking off in January this year, the MTEs have been making their all through South Africa; Botswana hosted three shows during April. Visitors to each 2018 MTE stand the chance of winning a CPPG5 portable petrol-driven generator complements of Chicago Pneumatic. “The word is definitely out that there is a Chicago Pneumatic generator up for grabs at these MTEs and the give-aways are proving to be a highlight at each event,” says Van der Vyver. “The MTEs have provided Chicago Pneumatic with the opportunity to widen our footprint in southern Africa’s mining sector and to discover potential business opportunities in the region. By exposing the Chicago Pneumatic brand to countless possible opportunties we are strengthening our name in the industry. We keenly await the upcoming MTEs as a chance to once again showcase our quality products and services,” concludes Van der Vyver. Built for durability and productivity, the Chicago Pneumatic CPPG5 (5.5Kva) petrol-driven portable generator presents the perfect solution for the power needs of customers and end-users. The generator’s innovative design enables a long service life that provides operation safety and steady electrical output, whilst distributing the necessary power when required enabling end-users to complete their tasks efficiently and on time.
