SKF Introduces Android apps for TKSA 51

SKF Maintenance Products Division now offers full Android support for shaft alignment tools. After the successful launch of the SKF Shaft Alignment Tool TKSA 51 with Apple iOS apps, SKF have now launched the Android apps for the TKSA 51. The TKSA 51 apps “Shaft Alignment for TKSA 51” and “Soft Foot for TKSA 51” are now available for Android devices in the Google Play Store. The apps are virtually identical to the iOS apps and both platforms will be supported with the same software updates. Key customer benefits The support of Android and iOS devices allows customers with a wider choice of devices to better meet their operational needs. Lower prices - Android devices are typically less expensive than similar iOS devices, increasing the affordability of the complete alignment system. Better market penetration - In many regions around the world, such as Latin America or Asia, Android devices have a significantly higher market presence than iOS devices. Since users are mostly experienced with Android devices, the new app facilitates the market entrance and penetration. Higher availability - In some markets, Apple devices are difficult to source. The new Android app will give customers the possibility to choose the most suitable, locally available device. More device choices - Many companies already have inventories of or regulations for certain device types, long lasting contracts about mobile devices or utilise apps that are designed either for iOS or Android. The app availability for both operating systems gives the users the possibility to choose the device that meets their business needs. Greater customer satisfaction - By fulfilling customer needs for Android support, we strive for greater customer satisfaction and higher attractiveness for new customers.
