Atlas Copco South Africa reaches out to South Africa’s future leaders at Career Indaba

Atlas Copco South Africa’s participation in Career Indaba 2016 once again demonstrates the company’s unwavering commitment to South Africa’s youth in finding suitable, secure and successful careers. Career Indaba, considered to be South Africa’s number one education and career guidance event, took place at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg on 7 and 8 March 2016. Interactive workshops and two days of networking with top corporates companies and further education institutions presents an ideal opportunity for students, parents and teachers to gain practical knowledge on how students can succeed in their lives after school. Upon visiting the show in 2015, Atlas Copco South Africa and Sub-Sahara Communications Manager, Kgothatso Ntsie, recognised that Career Indaba would serve as an ideal vehicle to explore alternative ideas as part of Atlas Copco’s Employer Branding strategy. “In order to get a feel for the exhibition, we decided to kick off our first support year with branding in the form of Atlas Copco exhibitor bags.” “The fact that entry is free of charge means that this important event is open to all and the high attendance figures bears testimony to this,” continues Ntsie. “With well over 5000 learners attending Career Indaba 2016, our support of the event proved to be a resounding success. In addition to the huge exposure we received as an organisation, the show exposed a number of alternatives of brand awareness in reaching out to learners and students. We without any doubt achieved our objectives.” Ntsie confirms that Atlas Copco has committed to being an exhibitor at Career Indaba 2017.
